Hello, and thanks for stopping by!
I moved to Silver City with my husband Dennis from Tucson in 2020, after 20+ years of hiking and backpacking in the Gila National Forest and the Gila Wilderness.
I built this site because I believe people protect what they know. I hope it will encourage visitors and newcomers to Silver City — and maybe even some longer-term residents — to explore both our urban trails and the many trails in the nearby Gila National Forest.
The routes, tracks and trail descriptions and photos on this site are my own. This list is not meant to be exhaustive. It represents my personal favorites among the embarassment of great options in the Silver City area.
Some of the gpx tracks are actually routes traced in Gaia GPS. I will be replacing those routes with actual tracks as time permits.
Happy trails!
